J & R's at 2330 New York 112, Medford, New York.

We visited for a birthday dinner. There were four of us.. two of us had salad. Two chose soup.. they brought a bowl of pickles, some macaroni salad and a small chunk of a dark pumpernickel bread. The macaroni salad was tasteless.. our dinners were all very good. Cooked to perfection. My fillet mignon was perfect, medium rare and very tender. We also had ribs, lobster tail, rack of lamb and the NY strip steak with bacon and blue cheese. One baked potato was a little rotten, and was quickly replaced. We had asked for a little surprise birthday dessert for my brother in law, so the staff came over and sang while presenting a piece of cheesecake, which was nice. However I thought it odd that they had not asked the rest of us if we wanted dessert and/or coffee or tea. We did ask for some and then waited a while to get any sweetener for the tea.. the cheesecake was presented with a dollop of real whipped cream and strawberry sauce. It was light and delicious.. overall very good experience. I would definitely go back..
